IMPROVEMENT OF CORPORATE GOVERNANCE COMMERCIAL BANKS

Abstract
Introduction. Experts Corp. recently paid great attention to corporate governance in the banking sector. This is because the banks have a uniform structure and activities that require a high level of accountability and transparency that is the relevance of the research topic. By implementing best corporate governance principles, banks can become an example for other economic actors and enhance the level of corporate relations of their clients. The development of corporate governance in the banking sector will increase the availability of bank loans, reduce risk and increase profits of banks. Purpose. The article is singling out the most important characteristics of the system of corporate governance in the banking sector of the national economy. Methods. Theoretical methods and creative thinking techniques were used in the paper. Results. On the basis of the features of the system of corporate governance in commercial banks of Ukraine author singles out priority directions of the state to facilitate its development, specific measures to implement them in the contemporary economy. Discussion. Prospects for improving the corporate governance system of the bank are connected with the bank lending encrease and profitability of financial and credit institutions.
