IMPROVEMENT OF LEARNING PROCESS OF «LIFE SAFETY» COURSE AT THE UNIVERSITY BY MEANS OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES

Abstract

The article highlights the role, place and didactic value of ICT in the learning process of «Life Safety» course at the university; provides objectives of education normalization necessity; observed the basic aspects in implementation of information technologies into the learning process of the course on «Life Safety; described specifics of using multimedia technologies in the context of the mentioned subject; outlines the requirements, that the teacher is facing in preparing for the classes with using computer technologies; provided basics of main directions in using information technologies during the lectures, practical seminars and individual studies. Practical usage of information and communication technologies helps to improve or partially replace in the study process such classical methods of teaching as oral presentation of educational material (lecture, story telling, explanation), visual and practical methods of teaching, methods of knowledge consolidation, self-study methods.
