IMPROVEMENT OF THE JURY TRIAL: CHANGE OF THE JUDICIAL MODEL (IN THE LIGHT OF THE BILLS № 7022 AND № 7022-1)?

Abstract
In the framework of this article the author analyzes the provisions of the draft laws aimed at the improvement of the institute of the jury trial in the criminal process in Ukraine. The research of a number of the suggested legal developmemts, among which there are an increase in the number of jurors, the delineation of the panel of professional and lay judges, with the allocation of individual authorities to each of them, presented an opportunity to conclude about the possible change of the jury trial model from the Continental to the classical one – the Anglo-Saxon.
