Improving the Power Quality in Tehran Metro Line-Two Using the Ant Colony Algorithm
Journal Title: Engineering, Technology & Applied Science Research - Year 2017, Vol 7, Issue 6
Abstract
This research aims to survey the improvement of power quality in Tehran metro line 2 using the ant colony algorithm and to investigate all the factors affecting the achievement of this goal. In order to put Tehran on the road of sustainable development, finding a solution for dealing with air pollution is essential. The use of public transportation, especially metro, is one of the ways to achieve this goal. Since the highest share of pollutants in Tehran belongs to cars and mobile sources, relative statistical indicators are estimated through assuming the effect of metro lines development and subsequently reduction of traffic on power quality index.

Nonuniform C-Band Loop Antenna: A New Approach for Future UWB Applications
Antenna design becomes very difficult at very small wavelengths and a special lab is required to manufacture a small antenna which costs a lot. A new approach is proposed to enhance the bandwidth of the loop antenna whic...
Laboratory Investigation of the Hydrophobicity Transfer Mechanism on Composite Insulators Aged in Coastal Service
Silicone rubber (SIR) insulators are known to maintain their surface hydrophobicity even under severe pollution conditions in contrast to the other composite insulator materials used at the last decades. This critical ad...
Effect of Improper Curing on the Properties of Normal Strength Concrete
In real applications, 28 days are regarded as proper curing time for concrete. There is a self-evident need to minimize the duration of curing days. For this purpose, this research investigates 1 to 7 days of curing and...
Role of Sodium Channel on Cardiac Action Potential
Sudden cardiac death is a major cause of death worldwide. In most cases, it's caused by abnormal action potential propagation that leads to cardiac arrhythmia. The aim of this article is to study the abnormal action pote...
Remediation of Sulfidic Wastewater by Aeration in the Presence of Ultrasonic Vibration
In the current study, the aerial oxidation of sodium sulfide in the presence of ultrasonic vibration is investigated. Sulfide analysis was carried out by the methylene blue method. Sodium sulfide is oxidized to elemental...
