In Silico evaluation of Garciaella species in meor technology

Journal Title: Indian Journal of Research in Pharmacy and Biotechnology - Year 2014, Vol 2, Issue 1

Abstract

The goal of research using in silico approaches is to study the viability of using microorganisms in the enhanced recovery of oil. A partial 16S ribosomal RNA gene of Garciaella sp. ‘TERI MEOR 02’ with accession number EU851973 has shown relationship with Garciaella petrolearia strain, followed by Sporanaerobacter acetigenes strain, Closteridium sp., Eubacterium thermomarinus and Caloranaerobacter species using UPGMA method from MEGA v. 6.05 software. The predicted gene from GeneMark has shown best alignment with hypothetical protein of Fusobacterium nucleatum. All these bacterial strains show good scope in Bioremediation and further applications relevant to MEOR technology.
