Journal Title: Journal of Turkish Spinal Surgery - Year 2010, Vol 21, Issue 1
Abstract
In this study, we present 38 idiopathic, 12 paralytic and 9 congenital scoliosis, totaly 59 patients treated with Hibbs posterior spinal fusion technique with Harrington instrumentation and facet fusion. Early mobilisation is allowed with Risser localiser cast support and with use of this device for 9 months 65 % correction rate obtained with 5° correction loss and solid fusion mass was found in nearly all patients except 4.5 % pseudoarthrosis.
