Influence of Aflazin® on the Adhesive Properties of Microorganisms — Pathogens of Catheter-Related Infections

Journal Title: Нирки - Year 2013, Vol 2, Issue 4

Abstract

The influence of Aflazin® (UTIRose™) and separately its combination with levofloxacin on the adhesive properties of opportunistic pathogens has been studied. It is found that addition of the active substance of Aflazin® (UTIRose™) leads to a significant (p ≤ 0.05) decrease in parameters of the adhesion of microorganisms by 1.4–5.0 times as compared with control. Adding a combination of the active substance of Aflazin® (UTIRose™) and levofloxacin led to more reduction in adhesiveness indices for tested strains.
