A statistical analysis revealed and analytically justified the difference in the level of socio-economic development of the Kaliningrad region and the Altai Krai. Development corridors show significant advantages in foreign trade and the size of the gross regional product, which confirms the correctness of the considered approaches to the classification of border regions.
