Influence of different concentrations of BIOBRAS-16 on the ex vitro rooting of rue buds

Journal Title: Biotecnología Vegetal - Year 2007, Vol 7, Issue 2

Abstract

The current investigation was carried out in the Centro de Desarrollo de la Montaña focussed on the ex vitro rooting of rue (Ruta graveolens L.) shoots, a medicinal plant recognized with a few number of individuals among twenty medicinal plants in Guantánamo province. Shoots obtained from tissue culture were used as starting material. Shoots were planted in sand after they had been submerged in different concentrations of BIOBRAS-16 (0.01, 0.05, 0.1, 0.5 mg.l -1 ). The immersion of the shoots in 0.1 mg.l -1 of BIOBRAS -16 permitted to obtain an efficient rooting.
