Influence of different concentrations of BIOBRAS-16 on the ex vitro rooting of rue buds
Journal Title: Biotecnología Vegetal - Year 2007, Vol 7, Issue 2
Abstract
The current investigation was carried out in the Centro de Desarrollo de la Montaña focussed on the ex vitro rooting of rue (Ruta graveolens L.) shoots, a medicinal plant recognized with a few number of individuals among twenty medicinal plants in Guantánamo province. Shoots obtained from tissue culture were used as starting material. Shoots were planted in sand after they had been submerged in different concentrations of BIOBRAS-16 (0.01, 0.05, 0.1, 0.5 mg.l -1 ). The immersion of the shoots in 0.1 mg.l -1 of BIOBRAS -16 permitted to obtain an efficient rooting.

Genetic stability among in vitro eggplant clones induced by different plant growth regulators
Many factors may influence the genetic stability of cloned in vitro plants, among which are the genotype and the regenerative process induced by plant growth regulators. The resulting somaclonal variations may be usefu...
In vitro conservation of Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam cultivars by minimum growth with the use of mannitol (2019)
ABSTRACT In vitro conservation of Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam allows the exchange of germplasm and its availability for breeding programs. The objective of this work was to determine the effect of mannitol and abscisic a...
Effect of the density of explants and the volume of culture medium on the micropropagation of cassava in a Temporary Immersion System
Due to the need of producing high quality planting material available to cassava growers, it has been necessary to look for alternatives in order to increase the efficiancy of in vitro propagation methods and their autom...
Influence of the in vitro environment on the germination of somatic embryos of Coffea arabica L. cv. ‘Caturra rojo’ and Clematis tangutica K.
The in vitro environment is a factor that in recent years has begun to investigate, because gases such as oxygen, carbon dioxide and ethylene play an important role in the morphogenesis of somatic embryos and their dev...
New protocol for the quick induction of adventitious buds and the regeneration of plants in banana cv. ‘Grande naine’ (Musa AAA)
A protocol for the quick formation of adventitious buds in banana cv. ‘Grande Naine’ and the development of plants was developed. Several concentrations of 6-Benzylaminopurine (6-BAP) and 1-phenyl-3-(-1,2,3-thidiazol-5-y...
