INFLUENCE OF HISTORICAL EVENTS ON THE DEVLOPMENT OF KYIV MUSICAL ENVIRONMENT IN THE SECOND HALF OF 19 — BEGINNING OF 20 CENTURIES

Abstract
The article analyzes the features of the research of the impact of historical events on the development of arts. The different approaches to the question of the relationship of historical events and art are investigating. The influence of diverse historical events on the development of music are illustrated on the example of Kyiv musical environment of the second half of the 19th — beginning of the 20th centuries by examining the basic philosophical approaches to the nature of the interaction of historical events with the development of art and through the analysis of the role in these theories the factor of determinacy and historical conditions. It is established that the historical events of world level (urbanization, business development, scientific and technological progress) and local level (the liberal reforms of Alexander II, the Valuev Circular, the Ems Ukaz) identified the main vector of musical environment and musical life in Kyiv in the second half of 19th —beginning of the 20th century in general. They influenced both directly (the Ukrainian national revival impacted on the topics of works) and indirectly (the development of transport enlarged the range of music lovers in Kyiv).
