Influence of modification on the structure and morphology of fractures of silumin AlSi6Cu4
Journal Title: Archiwum Odlewnictwa - Year 2009, Vol 9, Issue 2
Abstract
The results of modification of silumin AlSi6Cu4 with additions of AlTi5B1 and AlSr10 have been showed. It was found that the modification has favorable influence into structure and fracture morphology of tested alloy.

The solidification during flow of composite suspension in the permanent mould
The presented work presents the influence of graphite particles on the solidification kinetics of metal suspension based on AlSi10Mg alloy during the die cavity filling. In order to examine this problem, the measurements...
Comparison of Energy Consumption in the Classical (PID) and Fuzzy Control of Foundry Resistance Furnace
Foundry resistance furnaces are thermal devices with a relatively large time delay in their response to a change in power parameters. Commonly used in automation classical PID controllers do not meet the requirements of...
Preparation of porous Al2O3-Ti-C perform by combustion synthesis
Using combustion synthesis porous ceramic preforms for composite reinforcing were produced. Prepared mixture of alumina Saffil fibres, Ti powder and graphite flakes, after drying were placed in waveguide of microwave rea...
Influence of Addition of Briquettes with Dust Content into the Charge of Electric Induction Furnace on Cast Iron Quality
Foundry dust from blasting and grinding of castings contain a high amount of iron, ergo it is possible its recycling in foundry process. Dust was compacted by briquetting, two kinds of briquettes were prepared (A contain...
Use of barbotage refining of aluminumsilicon alloy to improve mechanical properties of high pressure die castings
This study presents the research results of the influence that barbotage refining on the mechanical properties of high pressure die casting made of AlSi12S alloy. The operation of refining was conducted in a melting furn...
