INFORMATION SUPPORT OF THE INTERMEDIATE CONCLUSIONS OF THE AUDITOR IN THE PROCESS OF PERFORMING THE AUDIT TASK

Abstract
The article analyzes the definition of the concept of “information support” in the literature, highlights its main characteristics and uses. The main requirements for information, in general, and for information that is used in the audit process are specified, the main tasks of information support in the audit process are identified, and the expediency of its systematization by task execution stages is justified. A list of questions that the auditor should examine at each stage of the audit to achieve common goals is given, and sources of information that provide the appropriate audit evidence to substantiate interim conclusions about the subjects of study are systematized. Particular attention is paid to the sources of economic information. The algorithm for forming the opinion of the auditor in the context of the sequential analysis of information flows at each of the stages of the audit task has been built.
