INNOVATION ACTIVITY AS A PART OF THE UNIVERSITY THIRD MISSION: PROBLEMS OF DEVELOPMENT

Abstract
The article considers innovative activity as an integral part of the university third mission appeared as a result of changes in the social, economic and political contexts. Author determines the main factors of innovation development. The approaches on improving the university innovative potential and its integration into global educational and scientific area are offered. The role of university as a center of regional development in the national innovation system was suggested.
