Abstract

Poverty is the sociological, economic and political reality that has existed since the emergence of history of humanity. Poverty, in the widest sense, is the state of lack of resources that the individual can maintain his biological life. The negative consequences of poverty affect the disadvantaged groups in society more deeply. Poverty is often a violation of human rights, as it can even threaten the individual’s right to life, education and health. Globalization, capitalism and wars maintain the phenomenon of poverty that violates human rights and has many negative effects on individuals, families and societies. Human rights are intangible, unalienable universal rights arising from the individual’s humanity alone. The human rights ideal promises every person has some basic rights. When it comes to the implementation of human rights, we can see that many people around the world do not benefit from human rights. Immigrants and ethnic minorities are more frequently exposed to poverty and human rights violations. Incorrect social policies, not being able to be protected from the negative effects of globalization, the ideologies of governments, the influence of the media, the situation of ethnic minorities in the country, migration, inequality of opportunity and similar factors can cause ethnic minorities to experience poverty more profoundly than others. As a result, in order to apply the human rights to everyone equally and in every situation, it requires policies that maintain discriminatory attitudes towards ethnic minorities and ethnic minorities.
