Abstract
Hürriyet konusunda her dünya görüşü, her felsefî sistem ve her din kendi paradigmasının değerleri noktasında farklı tanımlar yapmaktadır. Çok popüler olan bir tanıma göre; insanın istediğini yapması-yapabilmesi ve istediğini elde etmesi o kimsenin hürriyetidir. Bu, bugünün egemen dünyasında, liberalizm adına, kabul gören en meşhur tanımdır. Bu tanımda insanın yapıp ettiklerine bireyin kendi bazında herhangi bir sınırlama getirilmemektedir. İnsan tek yönlü olarak yalnızca kendi menfaatini veya arzularını fiillerinin eksenine alan bir varlık olarak konumlandırılmıştır.
