Abstract
The expediency of the use of technologies and tools of business intelligence for the monitoring of business activity is substantiated. It is established that in the domestic market of business analytics tools the most demanded are the tools of reporting and analysis. The use of the Microsoft BI platform in general and the Power BI tool, in particular for business monitoring, are considered. It has been found that business intelligence systems are in the first place demanded by enterprises with well-developed IT infrastructure operating in highly competitive industries. For owners of small businesses, the organization of monitoring their own business is, at the moment, a task whose implementation is virtually the main condition for the survival of their business in the difficult economic conditions of the post-crisis period. In view of this, a list of business analytics tools that can be advised for self-monitoring of business activity is defined.
