Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the concept and essence of a computer program as a special object of intellectual property law and which has features of both of copyright law and patent law. This causes an imperfect legal regulation of the intellectual property right on a computer program that turns into serious abuse of law enforcement. The rights of the developer of a computer program are analyzed.
