Intentionality of misery lit texts

Abstract
The article highlights the intentionality of misery lit texts. The notions “intention” and “intentionality” are considered. Narrator’s communicative intentions, singled out in descriptive, narrative and argumentative discourse modes, are analyzed. Special attention is drawn to the intentions of an unreliable narrator.
