INTERACTIVE CRITERION OF FORMEDNESS OF FUTURE AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLERSʼ COMMUNICATIVE SKILLS

Abstract

The main task of the research is to characterize interactive criterion of formedness of future air traffic controllersʼ communicative skills and to specify the importance of its factors. A great number of foreign and native scientists, for instance Butenko N. Yu., Volkova N. P., Isaienko M. M., Kyrychuk O. V., Kostiuk H. S., Sikorska L. O., Savenkova I. O., Petrovska L. A., Cherevko V. P. etc., have been trying to determine the contents and the value of communicative potential, skills and habits for future specialists in different fields. Taking into account the specific features of the aviation profession, being based on some research we specify future air traffic controllersʼ communicative skills as complex system of conscious language activities based on theoretical and practical training raising the possibility to use effectively professional communication techniques in new conditions according to assigned tasks. Itʼs proven that criteria are the most effective way for formednessʼ determination of communicative skills enabling to make changes in the process air traffic controllersʼ communicative skills forming. We have defined three criteria and factors of formedness of future air traffic controllersʼ communicative skills, for instance interactive criterion is highlighted in the article. Interactive criterion characterizes the capability of future air traffic controllers to establish interpersonal relations with workmates, supervisors, pilots. Two factors of formedness of future air traffic controllersʼ communicative skills have been mentioned in the article. One of them is the competence in predicting and solving of conflict situations which specifies the capability to solve professional communicationʼ conflicts and to choose the most preferable behavior strategy. The second one is the capability of the future air traffic controllers to self-management in communication. It goes without saying that interactive criterion characterizes the capability of future air traffic controllers to establish various interpersonal relations, but the strongest are ones, which are organized in the process of collaborative activities reflecting objective productive relations between air traffic controllers.
