INTERNATIONAL CLUSTERS IN ENHANCING INNOVATION LEVEL OF THE BUSINESS ENTITIES ECONOMIC ACTIVITY

Abstract
The factors facilitating the technology development are discovered in the paper. The influence of these determinants are considered from three different levels: general business conditions boosting technology development and competitiveness, structural relationship among cluster members, often referred to formal business contacts, and the mechanism of knowledge and technology transfer inside clusters as a result of informal communications level. The paper outlines the opportunities for technology improvements derived from international cooperation through clusters and channels promoting technology and knowledge spillovers among different entities, organizations and institutions in such structures. The problems of Ukrainian enterprises technology evolution are analyzed in the paper and the methods of such activity improvements in terms of international cluster cooperation development are explored. The results suggest that promoting infrastructure development and establishing facilitative environment for cooperation between research organizations and business, state authorities and international organizations could favorably influence the technological level of Ukrainian entities and their competitiveness in the international value chains.
