International Landscape and Trends in the Application of Artificial Intelligence in Medical Education Research

Abstract
Using bibliometric methods and literature on the application of artificial intelligence in medical education in the Web of Science (WoS) database in the past decade, this paper conducts visual analysis such as correlation, clustering, and mutation to explore the current status, research hotspots, and development trends of international research on the application of artificial intelligence in medical education. It is found that robot-assisted surgical training, intelligent evaluation and feedback systems, and intelligent virtual simulation systems are research hotspots in international artificial intelligence medical education. The research evolution follows the context from standardization to personalization, from physical space to the integration of virtual and reality, and from focusing on independent thinking to human-machine collaborative decision-making. It is hoped to provide reference and intelligence support for Chinese researchers in the field of artificial intelligence medical education.
