The Ethical Risks and Coping Strategies of ChatGPT in Medical Education

Abstract
As an emerging product in the era of artificial intelligence, ChatGPT has had a significant impact on medical education, providing diverse assistance and services with powerful computing capabilities, massive data and intelligent modes, and empowering the innovation of medical education. ChatGPT also raises a series of ethical issues while contributing to medical education, such as multiple exposures of information for both teachers and students, the potential alienation of teacher-student interactions, the threat of serious algorithmic coercion, and the risk of undermining trust and integrity in medical academic fairness. In the face of the ethical risks of ChatGPT intervention in medical education, a collaborative governance approach is needed at the levels of science and technology, governmental departments, educational institutions, and individual teachers and students, in order to promote the positive effects of ChatGPT in the field of medical education.
