INTERNATIONAL LEGAL REGULATION OF LABOR OF PERSONS WITH LIMITED OPPORTUNITIES

Abstract
The author reveals the issues of international legal regulation of labor of persons with disabilities. It’s noted that approaches to protecting the labor interests of persons with disabilities in international instruments over the past half-century have been substantially transformed. The focus of attention of international organizations has gradually shifted from the medical aspects of disability to social and legal aspects. The author emphasizes that at the present stage, disability ceases to be exclusively a matter of providing medical care and restoring health, but it becomes a matter of ensuring the maximum amount of the disabled person’s labor rights for his normal and effective participation in the life of society, including the sphere of work.
