INTERNATIONAL LEGAL STATUS OF WOMEN. EUROPEAN VIEWPOINT

Abstract
The article describes the formation and development of women's rights. The author presents a number of international organizations and documents that have played an important role in supporting gender movement. An analysis of the various countries' activities on the implementation of gender policy is conducted. The article describes the international trends and directions of struggle against sexual discrimination in various spheres of human life. Ratings from foreign countries prove that empowering women and eliminating negative traditional gender stereotypes is a key to the well-being of the entire society.
