INTERNATIONAL REGULATION OF RESPONSIBILITY FOR ENCOURAGEMENT ON THE BASIS OF PEOPLE'S SOVEREIGNTY

Abstract
The article deals with theoretical issues of foreign criminal law regulation of responsibility for crimes against the foundations of people's sovereignty. An analysis is carried out of the norms of the criminal codes of certain European and post-Soviet states, which provide for responsibility for criminal encroachments on the basis of sovereignty. In particular, the comparison of criminal acts in the dispositions of individual articles, the analysis of sanctions, basic and additional punishments are carried out. The conclusion is drawn that the criminal legislation of both individual European and post-Soviet countries contains special norms aimed at protecting relations in the sphere of people's sovereignty. In addition, it is established that the approaches of foreign lawmakers to the punishability for similar offenses in the states of continental Europe are mostly more repressive than those established in Ukraine.
