Interpretation of dependence between cohesion energy and melting temperature for transitive 3d-metals on atomic number

Abstract

A model for the description of the dependence of cohesive energy and thermodynamic characteristic 3d-metals on atomic number was proposed. Obtained results explain the experimental dependences of cohesive energy and melting temperature on atomic number: «anomaly» for Mn and a presence of two non-equivalent «parabolic dependences».
