Interrogative as a lingual means of the plot development in the detective story

Abstract
The work is dedicated to structural-and functional analysis of different types of interrogative sentences in the literary dialogue of the detective story. The author assumes that in contrast to attendant ones, key questions are primary in the plot development of the genre studied. A conclusion is made that special interrogative sentences expressed by syntactically simple constructions function as key questions in the detective novel.
