New approach to the problem of countable and uncountable nouns in the English language

Abstract
The article considers the category of English nouns’ countability in the highlight of cognitive linguistics. Special attention is paid to description of cognitive operations proposed in R. Langaker’s cognitive grammar. Examples illustrating numerical behavior of nouns are provided.
