INTERTEXTUALITY AS A FORM OF LITERARY REALIZATION OF APOCALIPTICAL VISIONS IN UKRAINIAN POSTMODERN NOVEL

Abstract

Intertextuality is the immanent element of polystylistics of postmodern novel (and also one of leading concepts of the modern literary thinking) that is marked by the varieties of determinations, types and forms, and executes in text va-rious functions: method of constructing of text; strengthening of the content of work by introduction to text of earlier ideas and characters; creation of unique literary-culturological plane of text; crossing and harmonious coexistence of many measuring of existence of humanity within the limits of one text. In postmodern prose intertextuality becomes one of the form of actualization of literary-historical associative area in the apocalyptic novel that forms the basis of gene-ralized concepts of the apocalypse, serves as a vivid embodiment of postmodern ideological admonition, gives texts psy-chological-metaphysical intension, deep symbolism and metaphoricity, stimulates the process of the evolution and mo-dification of novel genre forms and, as a result, gives the possibility to integrate wholesome the authorial models of apocalyptic predictions in prose text. The Subject of research – intertextuality as a form of expression of literary-vivid models of apocalypse in the Ukrainian postmodern novel. The Aim of the paper – to make a complex investigation of the role and the specific character of embodiment of intertextuality in the variant literary models of apocalyptic visions in the Ukrainian postmodern novel. Research methods. Research methods. The character of tasks of research and the specific character of the scientific article stimulated the choice of such methods: cultural and historical, descriptive me-thod, elements of linguostylistic analysis. The scientific novelty of work. First in Ukrainian literary criticism the role of intertextuality in creation of literary-vivid models of apocalyptic visions in the Ukrainian postmodern novel was comp-lexly investigated. The results of given research can be drawn on in teaching of philological disciplines (history of Uk-rainian literature of postmodern period), during development of the historical and literary educational special courses in higher educational establishments of humanitarian profile.
