Abstract
The review of existing target programs in the sphere of traffic safety of Ukraine and Russia are conducted. Analysis of key activities aimed at reducing the number of road accidents in the long run are provided. The main types of incidents in Russia and Ukraine in 2012, the introduction of intel-ligent transport systems are considered.
