Intrusion Detection Using Decision Tree Based Data Mining Technique
Journal Title: International Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology (IJRASET) - Year 2016, Vol 4, Issue 7
Abstract
Nowadays computer attack has become very common. Although there are many existing mechanisms for Intrusion detection, but the main issues is the security and accuracy of the system. In this paper we have usedJ48 decision tree data mining techniques as an intrusion detection mechanism and ORNL (Oak Ridge National Laboratories) data set. This paper shows that Decision trees gives higher accuracy than other supervised method.
