Intrusive Assessment of Speech Quality over Wireless Networks
Journal Title: IOSR Journal of Electronics and Communication Engineering(IOSR-JECE) - Year 2018, Vol 13, Issue 5
Abstract
This work examined the intrusive aspect of objective assessment of the quality of speech transmitted over wireless mobile networks using the automated end-to-end PESQ algorithm. The immense merits objective assessment techniques have were highlighted. The raw PESQ scores were mapped using the more accurate Morfitt and Cotanis U. S. Patented logistic function. Correlating the mapped PESQ MOS scores with the subjective MOS score, coefficients of 0.77, 0.81, and 0.75 were obtained for speeches transmitted over three different wireless networks respectively.
