INVESTIGATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF AN EFFECTIVE AL-GORITHM FOR APPROXIMATION BY SPECIAL TRIGONOMETRIC POLYNOMIALS

Abstract
The problem of approximation of non-periodic functions by special trigonometric polynomials is considered. On the basis of the investigated method, a modified method has been developed that allows for a faster and monotonic decrease in the approximation error. Pre-processing is used to smooth out the periodic continuation of the approximated function. The root-mean-square errors of the approximation of a non-periodic function for different initial data are given. The results are presented in the form of tables.
