Irenaeus Falkovsky’s contribution to the development of Ukrainian literature in the end XVIII –beginning of the XIX century

Abstract
The article considers the way of life and outlines briefly the content of the manuscript inheritance of Irenaeus Falkovsky, rector of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, author of literary works, researcher in the field of exact sciences of the XVIII – beginning of the XIX century. On the basis of analysis of the lifestyle, peculiarities of getting education, teaching and organizational activities, scientific preference an attempt is made to form a portrait of a teacher and an Orthodox monk who, during his service, conducted educational and economic activities in the institutions to be under his authority.
