Islamic Religious Values in Maher Zain’s Songs

Abstract
This article discusses the songs of a Lebanese singer, which are Raḍitu Billahi Rabbā, Ramadhaan, Yaa Nabi Salaam 'alaika, and Jannah. The purpose of this study is to explain the values of Islamic religion that they contain. The method used in this study is qualitative method with literature study. The results showed that the four songs contain values of Islamic religious belief, Sharia, and morals. The four songs uphold the theme of the love of God, Messenger, Islam, and presents the theme about life in the hereafter. The song Raḍitu Billahi Rabbā contains about the belief in the Divine, Prophethood, Sharia, and morals. The song Ramadhaan concerns about Sharia as it is related to worship. The song Yaa Nabi Salaam' alaika contains the values of belief in Prophethood, while the last song Jannah contains aspects of belief in the day of judgment.
