Items Response Theory of Computing Skills Tests in Diagnosis of Objects in the Application of Educational Effectiveness Study
Journal Title: Jaunųjų mokslininkų darbai - Year 2011, Vol 30, Issue 1
Abstract
One of the most important principles in educological analysis is separation of homogeneous groups, control groups, and experimental groups. When analyzing virtual objects in the application form of computing, performance, it is necessary to select schoolchildren with equal computing skills. The aim of this article is to describe the analysis of necessary counting skills in homogeneous groups of schoolchildren prior to pedagogical experiment, using diagnostic tests in mathematics. Methods used were: literary analysis of the general requirements for diagnostic tests of achievements in mathematics; the design, analysis and interpretation of diagnostic test of the fourth year schoolchildren; identification of homogeneous groups on the basis of results of testing. The article discusses the characteristics of probability of arithmetical calculation and its suitability for diagnostics of calculation abilities. The results obtained confirm ability of homogenous groups to calculate and efficiency of the research using virtual teaching with special objects when dealing with arithmetic task. Schoolchildren of groups IV-V were researched.
