Izbucnirea și desfășurarea Revoluției Române din Decembrie 1989 la Constanța

Abstract
Considering that the bloody events of the Romanian Revolution in December 1989 remain a contentiously debated issue of Romania’s recent history, especially the aspects concerning the large number of killed and wounded, the purpose of this article is to clarify the way in which the Revolution began and unfolded in Constanța, acknowledged as a martyred city by law. To achieve this objective, are required two separate investigations into the events, one that targeted the December 16-22 period, and one targeting the period after December 22. First of all, is desired a realistic presentation of the measures implemented by the civil and military authorities of Constanta taken in the context of the events that took place in Timisoara and Bucharest. Also, another objective of the study is to clarify the causes that led to an impressive number of killed and wounded in the context in which no terrorists were identified in Constanța
