Revoluția Română: Premise interne și context internațional
Journal Title: Anuarul Institutului Revoluției Române din Decembrie 1989 - Year 2023, Vol 1, Issue 1
Abstract
Our study aims to analyse the domestic and international context that led to the collapse of the communist regime in Romania, in December 1989. The Romanian Revolution is a complex phenomenon, which still causes controversies and still has enigmas waiting to be solved. For this reason, we considered it useful to report the events to internal factors, by constantly referring to the realities of Eastern Europe and the position of the two superpowers, the United States and the Soviet Union, at the end of the Cold War
