Abstract
Panchkarma is globally accepted and famous branch of Indian system of medicines i.e. Ayurveda. Raktamokshan has been described as a part of shodhan by Sushruta. Jalaukavacharan karma is the part of Raktamokshana .In present article an attempt has been made to enlighten the utility, types , structure and applied aspect for Jalauka. Jalauka can be cultivate and establish as anushstra, as the painless para surgical process. In present article types and the mode of action of Jalauka has been described as ayurvedic view as well as modern view are described.
