Journal Title: International Journal of Pedagogy, Innovation and New Technologies - Year 2014, Vol 1, Issue 1
Abstract
John Paull II as a prominent expert on human affairs saw and understood great role of media in human and social development. He treated the media, the cyberspace as a great opportunity for the mankind to create a better world where the media would serve the integration of the human family, of different groups and the whole global world. At the same time he wished above all that the media would create and not destroy the man and there he had very high requirements for the means of social communication. Hence, he put the man in the centre, not the media, the man who is a reasonable and free creature, who has his dignity and at the same time his freedom and responsibility. The man, a social being, who wants to use the media in a family, a group, a society so that through information he could be a part of binging-up process towards culture, which should help the man become more of the man. John Paul II is an outstanding promotor of anthropocentrism for the cyberspace which maybecome a new complementary area thanks to which the man will reinforce real bonds among people and live better and more beautiful life.
