Abstract

The article presents J.R. Hicks biography - Nobel Prize winner, his the most important publications and views. It also explains the Nobel Prize issue, which J.R. Hicks received with K.J. Arrow for, "pioneering contribution to the theory of the general economic equilibrium and the theory of the prosperity". They were the first who paid a close attention to interferences of the cyclical balance and the growth in the economy. In the article examples of using J.R. Hicks concept and IL - SM model in the fiscal policy and monetary were given. (original abstract)
