Knowledge and Human Capital in the Modern Organisation – a Theoretical Framework

Abstract

According to researchers studying enterprise development, knowledge management is becoming an increasingly important field of activity for contemporary companies. Knowledge management is perceived as one of the new paradigms of organisation management. The article aims to present determinants of the effectiveness of knowledge flow in an organisation. It characterises knowledge, its significance and forms in the light of the theory, the learning process, especially the learning process in an organisation, and knowledge as a new paradigm. It describes the issue of knowledge management as an opportunity for the organisation’s success, factors influencing the effectiveness of knowledge flow in an organisation, conversion of organisational knowledge and its impact on the efficiency of knowledge flow. These theoretical considerations are based on available scientific literature.
