Abstract
Zofia Wilk-Woś THE RELIGIOUS FOUNDATIONS OF THE BRUDZEWSKIS OF THE SECOND HALF OF THE 15TH C. The article presents the religious foundations of the Brudzewskis in parish church in Brudzew and other their donations to the church institutions, which they made in the second half of the fifteenth century. It is important to look at the foundations of descendants of voivod Jarand of Brudzew in context of similar activities of other noble families from social elites. The first foundation of the Brudzewskis of the Pomian coat of arm, who had the rights of patronage in the parish of Brudzew, was the new brick building of parish church. Then they founded provostship and mansioners’ college. They also established two altars in the church. Jarand of Brudzew gave his financial support for monasteries of Bernardine Order in Warta and Koło.
