Abstract
Książka Teologia męczeństwa w przepowiadaniu św. Augustyna stanowi pokłosie pracy doktorskiej ks. Artura Seweryna, kapłana diecezji sosnowieckiej, napisanej pod kierunkiem ks. prof. dr. hab. Kazimierza Panusia na Wydziale Teologicznym Uniwersytetu Papieskiego Jana Pawła II w Krakowie. Poza zwykłymi częściami, takimi jak wstęp (s. 5-9), zakończenie (s. 267273), wykaz skrótów (s. 275-277), bibliografia (s. 279-290), składa się ona z pięciu rozdziałów oraz aneksu (s. I-LXXV). Obszerna bibliografia w książce obejmuje w pierwszym rzędzie około 140 tekstów źródłowych św. Augustyna, w tym samych jego sermones, z których autor książki korzysta najbardziej - wymieniono 125. Pozostałe pozycje to inne źródła starożytne, literatura przedmiotu, literatura pomocnicza i pomoce leksykograficzne; w sumie jest to około 400 pozycji. Niniejszy artykuł jest recenzją tej książki.
