Abstract
This study analyzes critically Henry Jenkins’s cultural convergence theory: how is transformed from its basis the culture of fans into the digital media era. The empirical part that follows the theoretical part presents the fanfiction page called Merengő (Contemplative), and analyzes the subculture and the community that formed next to it.
