Abstract
(Gendered War Heroism and Heroisation During the 20th Century) Based on the idea of construction of heroism this paper will consider the cross-cultural regularity/patterns and diff erences of gendered war heroism and heroisation during the 20th century through diff erent media representations. We will investigate how wars are used to promote the heroic ideal which is often based on gender diff erences and often shaped the collective perception of wars.
