КУЛЬТУРНА ІДЕНТИЧНІСТЬ ЯК ОСНОВА КОЛЕКТИВНОЇ ЄДНОСТІ

Abstract
The article reveals the content of cultural identity and shows that it should be interpreted as a process of interaction of individual and/or group interaction in a relatively homogeneous communicative space, within which there is the formation of norms and values that ensure the cultural identity of the community and distinguish members of the community from those who are not its members. It is emphasized that in cases where cultural identity coincides with the national identity, it ensures the stability of political boundaries, without destroying the latter, even when national identity appears to be a broader phenomenon regarding that of cultural identity. Cultural identity becomes a means of fragmenting political boundaries only in the course of gross political interference or manipulation of the values that the community regards as the basis of their own identity.
