KÜRKÇÜ-ZÂDE OSMAN REMZİ, ONE OF THE LAST REPRESENTATIVES OF CLASSICAL TURKISH LITERATURE AND HIS NAZIRES FOR ALİ EMÎRÎ

Abstract
Kürkçü-zâde Osman Remzi (1875-1926), whose name is not found in tezkires and literature history, is a poet who maintained the tradition of classical Turkish poetry in the period of modernization of Turkish literature. The poet has a masnavi of Vâmık u Azrâ and a Mevlid. Besides, he wrote nazires (parallel poems) in the form of tahmis for Ali Emîrî (1857-1929) that were published in the Ottoman History and Literature Magazine published between 1918-1920. They were appreciated by Ali Emîrî and also published in the same magazine’s different issues. In this study, Kürkçü-zâde Osman Remzi has been introduced and his nazires (parallel poems) written for Ali Emîrî’s poems have been rewritten in transcription alphabet.
