LA EDUCACIÓN PARA EL DESARROLLO SOSTENIBLE EN EL CURRÍCULO UNIVERSITARIO

Abstract

Education as an engine of change integrates greater realism and usefulness to the problems of life, school is the pillar to overcome environmental, social, intellectual and affective difficulties, through educational structures according to their context, helping to counteract the negative effects of globalization against the natural environment supported by curricula related to social and environmental concerns, which, from the academy, governing bodies of education and various institutions and organizations, promote studies and programs related to environmental education with a development focus, promoting society the search for solutions to improve environmental conditions. This essay attempts to clarify the position of Environmental Education and Education for Sustainable Development in the university curriculum as a contribution to the formation axis of undergraduate careers considering the Ecuadorian context, through the bibliographic journey of the facts and situations of our environment.
