LABOR MOTIVATION SYSTEM IN RESTAURANT BUSINESS ENTERPRISES FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF PERSONNEL

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the research of peculiarities and efficiency of labor motivation system of personnel of restaurant business enterprise taking into account the specific peculiarities of enterprises of the branch. The necessity of fulfilment of complex researches of the existing motivation system efficiency, value orientation, satisfaction of staff work and efficiency of personnel activities is a basis for decision making on development of improvement ways of personnel motivation system, which is oriented on the development of staff labor potential and effectiveness of economic activities of the enterprise on the whole. An express-inquiry of all the categories of personnel on a special developed questionnaire for identification of efficiency of labor motivation system of restaurant business enterprise was conducted. Researched: internal personnel motivation, demand of personnel and factors, which influence motivation. The success of a restaurant business is driven a lot by the personnel motivation system. The financial incentives were proven to be the most influential motivating factors of personnel. Overall, the motivating factors were ranked differently for different groups of personnel. Thus, wages, bonuses, allowances, social security and comfortable work environment were named among the most important factors by employees, whereas wages, bonuses, allowances, self-realization and discretionary power were considered as most important factors by managers. The obtained results provided the basis for forming of propositions on improvement of labor motivation system in restaurant business enterprise with the purpose of negative trends elimination and achievement of high social-economic efficiency of enterprise development in this sector within the framework under the post-crisis conditions. The practical use of such express-inquiry is justified in the view of availability, responsiveness and costs minimum.
